I valued every moment I could spend with Lisa when she visited the Washington DC area. As coaches we talked about everything. As friends we provided mutual support, and served as a sounding board for each other. During a little retail therapy, we ended up buying the same blouse, and would text each other at times to let the other know when we had it on. Attached is a photo of the last time we were together in March of this year. I was beyond proud to have her a colleague following her retirement, and extremely grateful for her friendship. I extend my deepest condolences to Grant, Lisa's brother, sister and family members. For countless others who, like me, are struggling with this unfathomable reality, let's make an effort to live in Lisa's light by prioritizing kindness, humanity and grace as she would. Gone way too soon, but never forgotten...๐๐ฝ

Grant,Don and Joanne and family. We were so saddened by Lis passing. We only met her for a moment and she made us feel part of the family. Thank you for spending time with us and the family that weekend and we have you in our thoughts prayers. Grant you two were such a great team. Years ago I lost a friend of mine Father Otto Weber. His homily was given by his brother father Arnold. He said in German they do not have a word for good by. The word they have is auf wiedersehen. Translated it Means โ Till we meet againโ. That sums up

Judy and I used to take Lisa to work on many mornings when she started work at INS as an intern. She was always entertaining with her positive attitude and joyful smile and bubbly personality. She was a special person who will be missed by all. I remember her buying one of my paintings and years later her telling me she still had it hanging in her house. I also remember at a party put on my our rec dept she asked me to dance to the song "Lady in Red". She happened to be wearing a red dress thatnight....whenever I hear that song I will remember her....

Grant, Lisa brought so much joy, mentorship, and friendship to me personally. She made a huge impact on how I lead. I will remember her through the fond memories of making cards and the great Holiday gatherings that we were so grateful to be a part of. Thinking of you and everyone who knew and loved Lisa at this very difficult time.
