I worked with Mary at ANR, I remember her baby shower for her first child at our office. She always had a wonderful smile and always happy to see people. RIP Mary...

I am so deeply sad to learn about Mary passing - I know she must have fought so hard against the cancer and leaving her family. I feel very fortunate to have been a part of the Watershed Management Division family with Mary as Deputy Director. What an intelligent, thoughtful, perceptive, kind person and leader. May her family and good friends feel Mary's smile and love always - my thoughts are with you.

I feel blessed to have known and worked with Mary for many years. She had a gut instinct of when to offer a kind word of support and when to push a little harder. She was a role model and a mentor, and will be missed dearly.

So, about 27 years ago I was having brunch one weekend with my husband and my baby at the Oasis Diner. Bill, Mary and baby Anna were at the next table and we started talking. Both of us were lawyers but with brand new babies. Bill suggested that we hang out. And we did. From there we had many play dates, tennis lessons, family dinners, birthday parties and “mock sleepovers” for the girls. I miss you, Mary. My condolences to Bill, Katie and Anna.

Extending my condolences to Mary's family, friends, and colleagues for their profound loss. I knew Mary through work, where she was thoughtful, kind, and encouraging. While a small thing, her words have had a big impact on me.
