Bruce, Amy and Family: So sorry to hear of Carol's passing. Don't know if you remember, but I spent some time babysitting you guys for your mother. My mother, Alice Prince gave me one of your mom's owl puppets about 25 years ago. I still have it and it is displayed on my Xmas tree every year (upper right of tree in photo) :) RIP Carol

Dear Bruce, Amy and Family' Were are so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. We were neighbors in Richmond for years, attending many neighborhood parties and friendly visits. Lou and Carol were our dearest friends. Our kids had a great place to play in the "compound" with neighborhood kids. We hope your grief is tempered by good memories of Carol. Please accept our deepest condolence. Yours in sympathy, Dave and Alice Prince

I met Carol during her puppet designing days in Richmond. I was beginning my teaching career in Vermont and had a passion for using puppets in education. While I made many of my own, so many of Carol’s are in my collection. It was always so special to visit with her and buy one of her larger rod puppets, in addition to finger puppets. I still have them and treasure them. I lost track of her once she left Vermont, and it is clear she added so many artistic passions and interests in her life. I am also not surprised she became a teacher! She was always interested in hearing how I used puppets in the classroom as I taught reading and other content to K-6 children. She inspired me as an artist and a teacher. She will always live on for me when I use her puppets, share them with students…. She was as animated, playful and genuine as her creations. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
