Boston Celtics announce preseason schedule, how to watch, when

The Boston Celtics' full regular season schedule will not be released until next month; however, the NBA champions announced on July 23 how they will begin defending their title his October with a five-game preseason slate.

This particular schedule starts with two consecutive matchups against the Denver Nuggets which will happen in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on Oct. 4 and Oct 6.

The Celtics are set to report to training camp on Sept. 27, one week before the rest of the league. Boston and Denver will be kickstarting the NBA’s preseason slate on Oct. 4 in Abu Dhabi.

After their international games, the Celtics will have a few days to rest up before playing their preseason schedule.

  • Oct. 4: at Denver (in Abu Dhabi), 12 p.m. EST
  • Oct. 6: at Denver (in Abu Dhabi), 10 a.m. EST
  • Oct. 12: at Philadelphia, 8 p.m. EST
  • Oct. 13: at Toronto, 7 p.m. EST
  • Oct. 15: at Toronto, 7 p.m. EST

Derrick White stats

Derrick White is a point guard for the Celtics and became an NBA champion with the Celtics' NBA Finals win. The 30-year-old is originally from Colorado.

During the regular season, White averaged 15.2 points per game with 4.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists. He also shot 39.6% from behind the arc.

In the postseason, he scored 16.7 points per game with 4.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists, with a three-pointer percentage of 40.4%.

Jrue Holiday stats

Celtics point guard Jrue Holiday averaged 13.1 shots per game, with 5.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists in the post season.

Jayson Tatum stats

In the postseason, Celtics small forward JaysonTatum scored on average 25.0 points per game, with 9.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists, scoring 28.3% behind the arc.
