We have a winner!: Readers choose favorite creemee spot in Chittenden County

Readers have chosen their favorite creemee stand in Chittenden County in the Burlington Free Press creemee poll. Palmer Lane Maple in Jericho beat out second-place finisher The Village Scoop in Colchester, 585 votes to 486. Readers cast nearly 1,500 votes split among 10 creemee spots in Chittenden County.

Colleen and Paul Palmer started making maple candies from their own syrup in 2007 and opened their shop in 2012, but it wasn't until 2013 that they started serving up creemees, according to their website. A mobile creemee truck followed in 2017.

Palmer Lane serves up the frozen treat from March to October, offering a rotating menu of flavors. Given its origins, the fact that the most popular flavor on the list is maple should come as no surprise.

Their website boasts, "We start with a custom made mix and add in real maple syrup for the best, most flavorful maple creemee."

Creemees made with real maple syrup may be hard to beat, but Palmer Lane has something more − sprinkles made from maple candies.

Palmer Lane Maple is open from noon to 8:30 p.m., seven days a week during the summer months. Find them at 19 Old Pump Road in Jericho.
